Marinara Sauce
The classic Italian tomato sauce
Ingredients
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper
- 1 can crushed tomatoes
- Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and cook until it becomes fragrant and begins to “jump” or lightly sizzle.
- Pour in the crushed tomatoes.
- Season with a sprinkle of salt, black pepper, and a light amount of Parmesan cheese.
- Reduce heat to low and let the sauce cook slow and steady, allowing the flavors to blend.
- Stir occasionally and simmer until ready to use.
